Ken Johnson is Chief Operating Officer for Cable One. In this role, Johnson oversees Residential and Business Services, Technology Services, Field and Call Center Operations, Digital Evolution and Integration. He is responsible for execution of the company’s long-term business goals and operationalizing strategy across the Cable One family of brands, which serves more than 1 million customers in 24 states.
Johnson joined Cable One in 2017, serving most recently as Chief Technology and Innovation Officer from October 2023 to February 2024. Prior to that he served as Chief Technology and Digital Officer from January 2023 through September 2023; Senior Vice President, Technology Services from May 2018 through December 2022; and Vice President, Northeast Division from May 2017 through April 2018. Before joining Cable One, Johnson served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for NewWave Communications. Prior to NewWave, Johnson was Chief Technology Officer for SureWest Communications and Everest Connections.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Friends University and was inducted into the 2025 class of Cable TV Pioneers in September 2025. He currently serves on the board of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
