We Are Cable One

Caring for our communities

At Cable One, our Purpose is connecting our customers and communities to what matters most.

We are an integral part of hundreds of communities in 24 states across America’s West, Midwest, and South, serving more than 1 million residential and business customers every day. We provide a valued service to people who live in our footprint — we are their digital connection to each other and the world.

Whether in the small cities we serve like Boise or Fargo, or our hundreds of other communities, like Prescott, Arizona; Gulfport, Mississippi; or Vincennes, Indiana, there is a universal and critical need to be connected. That’s why we proudly invest in the communities we serve.

We invest in infrastructure to help eliminate the “digital divide” for homes, schools, and businesses across our footprint. In 2023, our capital spending totaled more than $370 million. This investment included deploying fiber deeper and closer to our customers and installing the first modems capable of 10 gigabit per second speeds, which we expect to roll out more broadly in the coming years. More than 99% of the homes passed by our network can receive gigabit broadband speeds. It is critical for us to meet the rising demand for more broadband capacity and to provide the backbone for technological advances as the number of internet-of-things connected devices continues to increase.

We support local businesses and organizations from Chambers of Commerce to Kiwanis. And our local advertising services allow small business owners to have an efficient way to extend their messages to customers.

Cable One also invests in organizations and nonprofit agencies in the cities and towns where our associates live and work, keeping our communities strong and vibrant. Whether it’s donating Chromebooks to Title I schools to drive digital literacy, awarding $250,000 in grants annually to non-profit organizations in the communities we serve, or addressing food insecurity by contributing to local food pantries, our programs are driven by our knowledge of community needs, and our associates spend thousands of hours each year supporting organizations that provide vital services to those most in need. We encourage associates to volunteer their time and talents on issues about which they’re passionate. Our Angel Day program provides associates with a paid day off each year to give back directly to a local nonprofit of their choice. They make positive impacts in our communities by helping at animal shelters, building housing for the homeless, and volunteering in soup kitchens.

Forbes 2022 America's best midsized employers

The more than 650 associates based in Phoenix also work to strengthen the community by volunteering with organizations such as St. Mary's Food Bank, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Cable One has a strong reputation and was named to Forbes America’s Best Mid-Sized Employers List in 2023 for the third consecutive year.

Cable One’s philosophy is simple — we take care of our associates so they’re able to take care of our customers. This has led to an average tenure for our associates of more than 11 years.
